Sales Tools is part of the ConstructionHelp family of apps developed by CodeKayak, a Mobile ApplicationDesign and Development startup. It was designed with theConstruction Technology dealer in mind (Trimble/Sitech, Topcon,Leica, etc.). However, the tools are non-specific and as more heavyequipment machines become equipped with positioning technology fromthe factory, equipment sales representatives (Caterpillar, JohnDeere, Komatsu, Case, Volvo, etc.) will find the tools within thisapp useful as well.App Features:Sales Calculator - Calculate deals in the field, during a customermeeting or anywhere on the go (Price, Margin and Profit).Units Converter - Accurately convert units of measure.Quick Leads - Enter a lead as quickly as writing a textmessage.Quick To-Do - Enter an item to do as quickly as writing a textmessage.Distance - Unique two point distance calculation, completelyindependent of your current location.GPS Accuracy - Troubleshoot GPS accuracy issues, like time-of-dayor current location.Auto-Texting - Don’t leave customers waiting for a response whiledriving or in a meeting.More Help - Need more help? The Distance function does not zoom to your current locationwhen the screen is initialized or the user presses the “Refresh”button. This is because I currently have to hard code a latitudeand longitude position to enable the unique two point distancecalculation. I hope to add this capability in the future, whilemaintaining the uniqueness.2. The Auto-Texting screen requires you to have the screen activefor the function to work. I programmed the application to disallowyour mobile device to sleep while in this screen; however, stayingin the screen is not always feasible in situations whereauto-texting could be useful. The Distance Calculator app byCodeKayakuses a unique two-point distance calculation, which iscompletelyindependent of your current location. Most applicationsrequire youto have your GPS enabled and then provide you with thedistance fromyour current location to a desired location of yourchoosing. TheDistance Calculator app allows you to simply pick andsave twopoints on the map and then press "Calc". Your selectedmeasurementwill be displayed in miles, yards and feet.
